Tokyo Disneyland Cancels All ‘Club Mouse Beat’ Performances Until Further Notice Due to ‘Multiple’ Positive COVID-19 Tests Among Cast Members

“Club Mouse Beat,” the high-energy dance show at Tokyo Disneyland’s Showbase, has been partying five times a day since July 2 last year. However, the show has unfortunately been canceled for the next few days due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests among the show’s Cast Members.

In a press release, the Oriental Land Company revealed that a shortage of performers led to the show being canceled for the next few days, although a target reopening date was not disclosed. Several cast members of the show have tested positive for COVID-19 amid a record surge of the highly infectious Omicron variant across Japan.

Performances of “Mickey’s Magical Music World”, “Big Band Beat: A Special Treat” or both parades at Tokyo Disneyland are not yet affected.

Japan has reported an explosion of COVID-19 cases since the new year, with recent days seeing more than 100,000 new cases nationwide and 20,000 new cases per day just in Tokyo.
